The Thurman Café is a local legend in Columbus, Ohio.  Famous for its various burgers and unique menu, customers often wait over an hour just to get their hands on a fantastic cheeseburger.

Civil War Singer|Delaware, OH|Ohio Local LawyersThe citizens of Delaware, OH got in touch with deep American history and tasteful music early this March when Steve Ball, a historian-musician came to town.

The performer, who put on his show at the Delaware County District Library’s Main Branch, weaved Civil War facts with popular songs from that era to entertain and educate the audience.

Ball even dressed for the part and wore a Union shell jacket while strumming an 1855 Martin guitar during his hour-long presentation. The library’s Community Room was packed, according to an article from the DelGazette. [Read more…]

March for Art | Delaware, OHThe first Friday in March in Delaware, Ohio is a time for art appreciation.

The annual Main Street Delaware March for ART grand opening will take place on March 7 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM.

Participating business locations will display Delaware City School’s Children artwork; everything from drawing to paintings—with a variety of colors and creativity—will be up in the windows. So, come support our young artists and admire what they have been creating.

The gallery will remain up in the downtown area through the end of the month, but all the fun will be had at the grand opening. Delaware City Public Works will be there and children will have the opportunity to explore some of the public works equipment. [Read more…]

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but that First Friday is so delightful…

Isn’t that how the song goes? If not, it should, as January’s First Friday in Delaware, Ohio, features a FREEze Fest for everyone!

Join the attorneys from Calhoun, Kademenos & Childress on Main Street for a great time that won’t hurt your wallet. On Jan. 3, many Delaware businesses will be offering free events, “make-and-take” crafts, shows, entertainment, free samples, and much more!

We all know how the Thanksgiving story goes: years ago, Pilgrims came to the New World, had trouble settling, and were helped by the Native Americans. They shared a feast to celebrate—a feast that could have included our feathered friend, the turkey.

In Delaware, wild turkeys can again be seen, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
